Caribbean Education and Outreach

The Caribbean Islands are home to more than 20 different species of whales and dolphins, as well as countless corals, fishes and marine turtles. But, too few Caribbean children really get to experience the marine riches that surround them. We believe that the best way to encourage these children to cherish their environment is to get them actively engaged with whales, coral and more.

We have been leading hands-on educational activities and outreach programs throughout the Caribbean Islands since 1991. Our work spans classrooms, whale watching vessels, scientific research expeditions and other hands-on learning opportunities. We also provide grant funding for community-based whale-friendly activities, and donate books and other educational materials to classrooms and community groups.

Our goal is simple. By introducing Caribbean children to the wonders around them, we hope to inspire a new generation of Caribbean adults to actively protect and promote whales and their marine environment.
